Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Java Backend Developer. As a backend developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust and scalable cloud-based applications. Your expertise in Java, cloud technologies, and backend development will contribute to the success of our projects.
Responsibilities:
• Design and Architecture:
o Design and develop backend services, APIs, and microservices using Java.
o Ensure scalability, reliability, and security of cloud-based solutions.
• Backend Development:
o Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
o Implement business logic, data processing, and database interactions.
o Optimize performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Cloud Integration:
o Work with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
o Deploy applications to the cloud and manage infrastructure as code (IaC).
o Utilize cloud services like AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3, and RDS.
• Testing and Quality Assurance:
o Write unit tests and perform integration testing.
o Ensure code quality, security, and compliance.
o Debug and resolve defects.
• Collaboration:
o Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers.
o Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a backend developer using Java.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and services.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, Spring Boot, JMS, microservices architecture, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with databases (MySQL, JPA or NoSQL) and data modelling.
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Nice-to-Have:
• Certification in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Azure Developer Associate).
• Familiarity with serverless computing and event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of Spring Framework, Hibernate, or other Java libraries.
• Understanding of security best practices in cloud environments.
